Saturday’s defeat to Manchester City, thanks to an Erling Haaland penalty in the 68th minute, means that it is now 10 games without a win for Palace, of which we have failed to register a shot on target in the last 3 of those. It follows the same script for us this season, where sloppy errors are stopping us from adding to our points tally.
Robert De Zerbi’s men, annoyingly, are still looking very impressive this season. They’re currently sat 7th in the table with 39 points.
Patrick Vieira will need to look to rally the players for what will either be a turning point in our season or a continuation of our dire run.
Team News
CPFC:
Patrick Vieira announced in his press conference this afternoon that we will be without both James McArthur and Will Hughes in midfield. He said, “[Hughes] is not going to be involved tomorrow; he is still not feeling well. It is the same for Macca; both of them are not possible. Everyone else is OK.” On a better note, Cheick Doucouré returns from his one-match suspension, providing a much-needed lift to the midfield.
BHAFC:
Adam Webster is fit and set to be involved in the squad. Tariq Lamptey will be assessed ahead of the game.

Match Prediction
In my honest opinion, I think Brighton will take the three points tomorrow. We haven’t lost to Brighton in 7 games, but I see that run ending tomorrow.
However, if the players come out for 90 minutes and give it their absolute all, I will take that as a positive.
I wrote on the CPFC BBS over the weekend that this game is in ‘do or die’ territory for us now. While I understand it isn’t quite that in terms of where we are in the table, it’s more in the sense of: Will the players finally go out there and play with some fight in them? For far too many games this season, we’ve seen half-hearted, lazy performances on the pitch, which just simply isn’t good enough. All we have ever asked as a fanbase is that we see maximum effort and passion on the field.
Let’s see the players show it now.
Safe travels to all making the trip to the seaside – Up the Palace as always 🔴🔵
