After a narrow 1-0 defeat on Monday night, Roy Hodgson’s Palace side travel to West London to face Thomas Frank’s Brentford side. Having taken four points from a possible six, scoring five goals, Brentford have had a strong start to the season, and will look to continue this run at home.
Team News
CRY:
Roy Hodgson revealed in his press conference today that new Brazilian signing Matheus França is due for a scan for an injury he sustained before joining. Speaking today, Hodgson explained “There isn’t really a timeframe [for França] because he will need another scan to start with, and that will then tell us if the injury that he had when he joined us is progressing and clearing up.”
Will Hughes is progressing well and could be back training on Thursday of next week.
Michael Olise remains on the sidelines; however, Jean-Phillipe Mateta returns to the squad after a knee injury kept him from playing midweek.
BRE:
Frank announced this afternoon that midfield duo Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste are unavailable for tomorrow’s fixture.
Ben Mee also remains out.

Match Prediction:
I see this being an open, end-to-end game on Saturday, with goals on both sides. We looked defensively robust against Arsenal; however, we really lacked that touch of quality in the final third. Ebere Eze will be a huge player again for us, and I back him to open his goalscoring tally for the season. I’m saying this game will go 3-2 in our favour.
Enjoy the game for everyone going – Up the Palace 🔴🔵
